Pierce students had the experience of drumming with Peg Keeler, recent guest and artist in residence at our school. A very experienced educator and recipient of the NHAHPERD Teacher of the Year Award in 2012, Peg Keeler has trained with Drums Alive. (Drums Alive® is a curriculum and training program that combines fitness, with drumming, music, and educational concepts that improve the physical, emotional, and social health of participants.) Peg brought her enthusiasm and dynamic approach to Pierce School as she taught students in each grade their own special drumming routines. The fun, excitement, music and movement engaged all students. During a well attended evening performance, the children demonstrated what they had learned from Peg for for their parent and friends. It was a wonderful and entertaining show appreciated by all. Thank you Peg Keeler !
