Every day is a special day at the Pierce Elementary School but today was extra special.

Author, Michael Daley, a presenter from CLiF (Children’s Literacy Foundation) came to our school and read some of his books.

Students were captivated by Mr. Daley’s storytelling. One story, Pinch and Dash Make Soup was particularly entertaining.

For many years the children at Pierce School have made the walk down the main street of Bennington, past 100 year old homes and the Country Store to the beautiful brick building on the corner. Passing through its copper doors  into the GEP Dodge Library, the students in Ms. Cannon’s Kindergarten are welcomed by Mrs.
