Opera is a visual art that combines music, theatre, and dance to create a spectacular performance. Originating in Italy more that 400 years ago, today opera is enjoyed by audiences worldwide and is performed in almost every language, including English.
Students at Pierce School were treated to an operatic performance presented by the Raylynmor Opera company from Peterborough, NH. Soprano, Rebecca Shorstein sang “Oh Mio Babbino” by Giacomo Puccini, shared her enthusiasm for opera with the children and staff at Pierce.
