We will be hosting a Title 1 Literacy Night with guest Marty Kelly, children’s author and illustrator on Thursday, February 23rd. He will be sharing his stories and creative process.

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, there will be no school, Monday, January 16th.
The next community supper held at Pierce will be the night of January 12th at 5:30 PM. All are welcome!
The Grade 1 teachers will be working with Mary Beth Banios, from Keys to Literacy thorughout teh year. The work is geared towards Foundational Literacy Skills
Pierce Fun Run & Walk: Come support the Pierce School PTO in raising funds towards a new playground. This race will feature a loop of about 3.5 miles. Refreshments and baked goods after the race.
In the fall, NHPBS came and filmed the 3rd grade class at Pierce and the work we are doing with the turtle hatchling program. The turtle “head starting” program is in collaboration with the Harris Center for Conservation Education and NH Fish Game.
The students were challenged with building marshmallow building with only 20 marshmallows and 10 tooth picks.
Pierce School 3rd & 4th-grade students have been invited to tour the Applied Technology Center (ATC) at Conval High School this Wednesday, February 9th to help celebrate National CTE month.
Our students are very excited to attend the ConVal High School’s production of Frozen JR. on February 16th! This will be our first official field trip of the year. Please watch for permission slips.
