Todd Goodwin, storyteller, will be joining us for our Title I Family Literacy Night THIS WEEK, Wednesday April 20th from 5:30PM – 7:30PM. We will be having pizza from Rick and Diane’s, listening to stories, singing songs and playing literacy games. There will also be a message from our town librarian, Leslie MacGregor, about summer reading and library cards.

The PTO will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair the week of April 18th at Pierce. Students will be visiting the book fair with their classrooms this week. In the fall, NHPBS came and filmed the 3rd grade class at Pierce and the work we are doing with the turtle hatchling program.  The turtle “head starting” program is in collaboration with the Harris Center for Conservation Education and NH Fish Game. We are following Zoo New England’s protocols for caring for the turtles and all turtles that were harvested will be raised in our classroom and released in May.
